Tom Stewart was born in London, England, in 1989. He studied Art and Design at Kingston University, before graduating from the Manchester School of Art, in Contemporary Film and Video, in 2011.
“When The Dust Settles” is his graduate film which he wrote, directed, and produced. In 2012, it was the winner of the ‘Cinematography Award’ and ‘BBC Best of the North’ Award at Exposures Film Festival. The film went on to feature at Bristol Encounters International Film Festival, London Short Film Festival, Rushes Soho Shorts Festival and the Greater Manchester Film Festival.
In 2013, ‘Three Colours Red’ - his portrait of friends Katie and Jojo, and Maine Coon cat Tex, was selected for The Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize at the National Portrait Gallery.
He continues to live and work in London as a freelance Filmmaker and Photographers’ Assistant.
